Government House Pacesetters Veterans Applaud OPMA's Initiative, Eye Warri Rematch

Team President Hails Community Sports Development While Calling for Statewide Basketball Investment

Oleh, Delta State – The Government House Pacesetters Veterans Basketball Team, led by President Ewomazino Odugala, participated in yesterday's landmark inauguration of OPMA's new basketball court at Isoko Central School, engaging in an exhibition match against Warri Basketball Veterans.

Despite today's close result, President Odugala maintained an optimistic outlook: "While we didn't take this exhibition game, we still hold a 2-1 series advantage from our previous encounters in Asaba. This healthy rivalry pushes both teams to improve, and we'll settle the score in our upcoming Warri rematch."

Regarding future competitions, Odugala stated:

"Both teams will jointly announce the rematch date once finalized"
"The Warri venue has been confirmed, with details coming soon"
"This alternating venue approach strengthens basketball across Delta State"

The Pacesetters leadership extended sincere appreciation:

"To Engr. Paul Ogba and OPMA: Your vision has given Oleh youth a world-class facility"
"This court represents hope and opportunity for aspiring athletes"
"Your model should inspire similar projects throughout our state"

Odugala made a compelling case for expanded investment:

"We urge the state government to make basketball infrastructure a priority"
"Imagine the talent we could develop with facilities like this in every LGA"
"With proper support, Delta State can become Nigeria's basketball powerhouse"

The team committed to ongoing collaboration with OPMA, viewing the new court as the first step in a larger movement to elevate basketball standards across the region.
