Eid-el-Kabir: Chairman of Delta State Security Trust Fund, Hon. Daniel Mayuku, Felicitates with Muslims, Calls for Peace and Unity

The Chairman of the Delta State Security Trust Fund (DSSTF), Hon. Daniel Mayuku, has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim faithful in Delta State and across Nigeria on the occasion of the 2025 Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

In a statement released today in Asaba, Hon. Mayuku urged Muslims to reflect on the significance of the festival, which symbolizes sacrifice, faith, and obedience to the will of Allah, as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (AS). He emphasized the need for Nigerians to embrace the spirit of love, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence, especially at a time when the nation faces security and economic challenges.

"Eid-el-Kabir is a time for deep reflection, sacrifice, and renewed commitment to the values that bind us together as a people. As we celebrate, let us remember to pray for the peace and unity of our dear nation, Delta State, and our communities," Hon. Mayuku stated.

He commended the efforts of security agencies in maintaining peace across the state and called on residents to continue supporting the government’s initiatives to ensure a safer and more prosperous Delta.

Hon. Mayuku also urged Muslim faithful to use the occasion to offer special prayers for the nation’s leadership, the success of ongoing military operations against insurgency, and the economic stability of Nigeria.

"Let us use this sacred period to seek divine intervention for our country. We must remain steadfast in our prayers for Nigeria’s security, prosperity, and unity. I also encourage everyone to extend kindness to the less privileged, in keeping with the teachings of Islam," he added.

The DSSTF Chairman reassured Deltans of the government’s commitment to safeguarding lives and properties, stressing that collective vigilance and cooperation with security agencies remain vital in achieving lasting peace.

He concluded by wishing all Muslims a joyous and peaceful Eid-el-Kabir celebration, urging them to celebrate responsibly while adhering to security advisories.
