"Delta State Government Commended for Enhancing Security Synergy with Security Agencies

 

The Delta State Government has received commendation for establishing a platform to enhance collaboration among security agencies in the state, with the aim of improving service delivery in the security sector. The Chairman of the Board of the Delta State Security Trust Fund, Hon. Daniel Mayuku, expressed this commendation during a visit to the newly appointed State Commissioner of Police, CP Abaniwanda Olufemi, at his office in Asaba.

Hon. Mayuku stated that the Delta State Government, through the Delta State Security Trust Fund, is committed to partnering with the Police and other security agencies in the state to meet the needs of the State Police Command and enhance the overall security situation in the state.

Earlier, the Executive Secretary of the Delta State Security Trust Fund (DSSTF) and the Secretary of the Board, Hon. Barr. Sam Osasa, also expressed confidence in the appointment of CP Abaniwanda Olufemi as the Commissioner of Police for Delta State. He regarded the simultaneous appointment of the Trust Fund's Board as a positive sign for the state's security environment and emphasized the Board's commitment to achieving the objectives of the Trust Fund.

In response, CP Abaniwanda Olufemi expressed his satisfaction with the Delta State Government's strong focus on the security of the people. He acknowledged the establishment of the Delta State Security Trust Fund as evidence of the government's dedication to ensuring a safer Delta State. CP Abaniwanda emphasized that security is a collective responsibility, and the Delta State Police Command is ready to collaborate with the Delta State Government through the Delta State Security Trust Fund to achieve this goal.

The visit also included the presentation of a document containing the requirements of the Delta State Police Command to the Chairman of the Delta State Security Trust Fund, Hon. Daniel Mayuku, for consideration and possible assistance to the State Police Command.

The visit was attended by members of the Delta State Police Command High Command, other members of the Board of the Delta State Security Trust Fund, including Mrs. Rosetta Ndudi Ofuonyandi, Mr. David Onekpe, Mr. Roy Odibo, and senior management staff of the Delta State Security Trust Fund.
