The immediate past governor of Delta state, His Excellency, Dr. Emmanuel Ewetan Uduaghan CON on Wednesday congratulated the Executive Governor of Delta State His Excellency, Sen. (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa, as he clocks 61 years on Wednesday, 8th July, 2020.
The former governor in a statement through his verified Facebook page, said this year’s birthday is a special one, especially as the governor and his family recovers from the ravaging Covid-19 pandemic. He thereafter prayed for wisdom and grace for the governor as he leads the state.
“This birthday is a different one especially as you and your family recovers from the Covid-19 pandemic. It is also a time you are leading the State in battling this corona virus outbreak. It is truly a difficult time, for not just public office holders but also for the led. May God’s grace and wisdom continue to be with you as you navigate the ship of Delta State. Congratulations my Governor” Uduaghan said.
In a related development, the Executive Director, Projects, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Hon. (Barr.) Daniel Omayone Mayuku has also felicitated with His Excellency Sen. (Dr.) Ifeanyin Okowa on the occasion of his 61st birthday celebration.
In a congratulatory message made available to newsmen, Mayuku eulogized the governor for ensuring steady and quality development in spite of the drop in revenue of the state due to the COVID 19 pandemic. He further described the governor as a man of excellence and prayed for quick recovery for the governor and his family.
