We tend to shift our focus away from God’s workings, and instead concentrate on Satan’s futile endeavors against us. As a result, our minds become distracted from God, leading to fear, anxiety, and confusion. This, in turn, hinders progress in spiritual, physical, or other realms. Why does this happen? It is probably because we focus on our immediate environment rather than recognizing our true spiritual position in Christ.
God is perpetually mindful of you. His thoughts toward you are characterized by peace and benevolence, granting you hope and a secure future. With God, our future is unmistakably certain. I am not alluding to eternal life in heaven; I am asserting that here on earth, as we walk with God, our future is certain. This is precisely why we engage in daily prayer and spend time with God. It is also why we fast, to enhance our spiritual capacity, to discern God’s plan and purpose for our lives. This is why we seek Him early. As the Psalmist so eloquently expressed in Psalm 63:1-2: “O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; to see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.”
According to Psalm 8:4, God is mindful of you, and Jeremiah 29:11 sheds further light on God’s intentions for you, stating: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” If God is mindful of you, it implies that He holds solely positive thoughts about you. Thus, it is vital to recognize that external circumstances cannot affect your inner being; for your mental state determines your physical reality. As Proverbs 23:7 clearly states: “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.” Your thoughts are the foundation of your being. Your thoughts must align with God’s plans, and the Word of God; for your physical reality is a reflection of your thinking. You are a product of your thoughts, so cultivate positive thinking. Be conscious everyday that God is mindful of you, and that God thinks only positively about your life. Your future is predetermined and secure with Him.
Also, according to Psalm 8:4, God is not only mindful of you but also desires to visit you. When God visits you, His presence becomes profoundly real to you, granting you the fullness of joy. This visitation terminates the wicked operations of enemies in your life, and dispels evil far from you. Consequently, your life becomes pleasurable, and you experience the goodness of life. Your life starts to manifest God’s glory, which is the very essence of God. Glory is a visible manifestation of God’s beauty and splendor. The weight of God’s glory attracts wealth and favor. When God places the weight of His glory on you, even prominent individuals will show deep respect to you. This divine glory causes things to work in your favor, and people will be inclined to favor you.
