Rev. Dr. Lawrence O. Agbirekomi, during the power service on Sunday morning of 26th April 2026, expounded on a message titled: “The Place Of Intimacy In The Manifestation Of Resurrectional Power,” using Philippians 3:10 as the basis and highlighting the substantial correlation between developing a deep, personal relationship with God and manifesting the power of resurrection.
The senior pastor of Gihon City Bible Church started by proclaiming that Jesus Christ’s resurrection embodies the pinnacle of God’s mighty power. He further stated that through the power of resurrection, believers possess the power of conviction that there exists nothing beyond God’s capabilities and no circumstance He cannot alter. He can create an avenue even where none seemingly exists.
He elucidated that the concept of power refers to the divine capability that brings about resurrection, which is fundamental to God’s nature, embodying the very essence of God.
With reference to Matthew 28:18, he pointed out that Jesus Christ’s declaration that all power in heaven and earth belongs to Him renders the devil powerless. Moreover, according to Luke 10:19, he noted that believers operate with the power bestowed upon them by Jesus Christ, granting them authority over serpents, scorpions, and all enemy forces.
The cleric reiterated that believers must align themselves with God, structuring their priorities as outlined in the Lord’s Prayer, starting with acknowledging and genuinely revering God as their heavenly Father, followed by a focus on His Kingdom and righteous purposes, and then presenting personal needs that conform to His will.
He emphasized that when one’s relationship with God is deep and unwavering, God takes charge of the alignment process, further noting that consistent communion with Him leads to experiencing the power of resurrection in one’s life. However, maintaining this intimacy, which is informed by knowledge, is crucial to continually experiencing it.
He exhorted believers to bring their thoughts and words into alignment with the resurrection’s creative power. He insisted that whatever believers think and say is what their actions will bring into being. Therefore, they should be mindful of their thoughts and words concerning their lives and future prospects.
