Professor Yomere allegedly accused of diverting 54.3 Million Naira Omadino Community funds, illegally nominates persons into the Management Committee and IRDC.

According to an eyewitness who revealed that the Omadino council of elders had earlier suspended Professor Gabriel Yomere indefinitely for gross misconduct in September 2018 in a letter signed by the late Olare-Aja/Chairman Elders Council (Pa. Victor Ewomiewaraghan Esu).
The council of elders stated that Professor Gabriel Yomere dubiously connived with Pa Edukugho to receive the sum of 54.3 million Naira from Shell Petroleum Development Company(SPDC) without remittance to the community account to date. Below is a letter proving his indefinite suspension.

When the Professor was asked to remit the funds to the community accounts, he denied his involvement until documented evidence proved otherwise on how the money was paid. Professor Gabriel Yomere affirmed that it was the Yoruba lawyers involved in payment that collected the 54.4 million Naira. See the documents below showing professor Yomere signature as the chairman management committee.

In November 2020, about 2 years after his indefinite suspension, Professor Yomere was said to have nominated people into the Itsekiri regional development council(IRDC) in which one of the nominees named Madam Omamofe Metete wrote a disclaimer and consequently withdrew her signature after discovering that it was an anomaly.
See the disclaimer letter below.

Sources also confirmed that Professor Gabriel Yomere who is on an indefinite suspension also nominated persons illegally from his home into the Omadino Management Committee in connivance with some people. The present management committee’s tenure would elapse in 2022 and is usually done in an election and not by mere selection from the house. Omadino community in Warri South local government Area is an Oil-rich region and have been in crisis recently in a leadership tussle. It has been observed that Professor Yomere refused to provide the money or explain what happened to the said money. All effort to reach Professor Gabriel Yomere for his opinion through his phone contact proved futile.
